Join us every weekend for a group ride! See our full schedule and ride descriptions below. Before joining a group ride make sure you are prepared with: a bike in good working condition, a helmet (these are mandatory), a water bottle or two, and a spare tube.
Intro Road Ride
This is our old standby – perfect for anyone new to group riding who wants to gain some experience before jumping into an intermediate ride. We go about 25-30 miles at 12-15 mph. Road bikes and helmets are required. Every Saturday, 10 a.m. at Q St shop.
Urban Wilderness Ride
On this social-paced 17-mile ride, we do our best to stay in the trees. We’ll leave from our Brookland shop, heading down the Met Brach Trail to the National Arboretum through Kingman Island and the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail before pausing for pretzels & lemonade at Eastern Market to re-energize before circling back to the shop. One Saturday a month, 10 a.m. at Brookland shop.
Lake Artemesia Loop
This 18-mile ride slightly heads north toward the scenic Lake Artemesia on the Northwest Branch Trail. We’ll circle the lake before midpointing for a coffee/snack break in College Park, and looping back down south to the shop. One Saturday a month, 10 a.m. at Brookland shop.
This mid-paced gravel ride will head out from our Brookland shop, swing by our Q St shop, and head to the Capital Crescent trail entrance in Georgetown. Meet us at any of those three spots and join us for a 25-35 mile round-trip excursion. We’ll midpoint at the Marsden Tract Campsite with a campfire (BYORoastables) and get you back to DC by 11 p.m. One Saturday a month, 5 p.m. at Brookland shop; 5:30 p.m. at Q St shop, 6 p.m. at the Capital Crescent entrance.
This 7.8-mile family-friendly ride will leave from our Brookland shop and head to the National Arboretum. We’ll explore the Met Branch Trail, beautiful botanical gardens and Capitol Columns by bike and foot before pausing for a snack stop on the green. One Saturday a month, 10 a.m. at Brookland shop.
Intermediate/Advanced Road Ride
This is our weekly, fast group road ride. The intermediate group averages 40 mile at 16 to 18 mph. The advanced route is 40 to 60+ miles at 18 to 20 mph. These are a pure group road ride and we try to maintain and sustain the group throughout the course. This ride assumes that you have group ride and paceline experience. If you don’t, start with our Intro Ride on Saturday! Sundays, 8:30 a.m. at Q St. shop.
